All About the Money

by JM

writing-pad.jpgThis week we’ve been talking about that thing that makes the world go round…

No, as much as I would like it to be, I am not talking about love. I’m talking about money. (I was going to say ‘green stuff’ but money is anything but green in Australia.) Money, money, money and all the good and evil that goes along with it.

Money is a huge determining factor in how you get on in life. It is by no means the only determining factor, but it is big.

Today I would like you to write a bit about your past how money relates to it.

What were finances like for your family growing up? Were you poor? Did you know you were poor? Were you middle class pretty well to do? Are there any readers here who were very well off? Did you start off one way and change to another for whatever reason?

How do you think your economic status while growing up influence you as a person? And don’t say it didn’t, because it does.

Whether you felt the weight of being poor because you wore your clothes more often than the other kids or enjoyed name brand everything, the economic environment in which you grew up did influence you.

So, how did it?

If you could have changed your childhood, for richer or poorer, would you do it? Why? What do you think your life would be like if you had a different life money-wise growing up?
