Friday Fill-Ins 122
1. The first rule of working in an office and getting along is making the other office workers feel incredibly paranoid. Spreading rumors can be fun and all, but it doesn’t take much to spread a rumor and they usually fade. Plus, there is even the chance it won’t get back to the person it is about. What you need to do is, when you meet someone for the first time, you look at them in a slightly strange way (don’t overdo it) and you say, “Oh. I heard about you.” Then walk away. It’ll drive the person nuts.
2. I can’t say I’ve ever had clams. I want to say I have, but I’m not sure. I’ve had oysters, mussels, scallops… Clams? No idea.
3. When I think of carnivals I think of mentally disturbed looking people with the occasional young, grumpy teenager trying to make a few dollars over the summer. The smells of cotton candy and fried anything-on-a stick permeate everything - even your clothing if you spend enough time there. However, there is sweet release among the sheds of beautiful art pieces and wonderful smelling pies and cakes.
4. I have never been much of a gardener, so I don’t know what blooms when and all that good stuff. So, let’s pretend (or not, if it really is a spring flower) that tiger lilies are my favorite spring flower.
5. Things on my desk include my schedule book, books to be reviewed, a notebook I use to keep track of my exercise, number fill-it-in book, nearly empty water bottle, empty bottle of cranberry juice, my mobile phone, lamp, my battery-dead tomogatchi, paperclips, my other pair of glasses, various notebooks, pens, pencils, a bah of fruit clusters, a snow globe, candles… (Yeah, way too much stuff).
6. Reading the letter from Consumer Affairs makes me wanna hurl because, despite the awful state of our flat, I don’t know if they will say that we are right in protesting how high they want to raise our rent.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to relaxing and spending some time with my husband, tomorrow my plans include probably getting some work done and Sunday, I want to do something that makes me happy.!

OMG! I love your no. 1
We are def kindred spirits
And your carnival description is perfect. I believe Tiger Lillies are a summer flower, but they are definitely beautiful. I’ve got some blackberry lillies, and they have these flower blossoms you could fit on a quarter. When the blossom goes to seed and the pod opens, it looks like a cluster of blackberries. pretty cool, eh? and they’re weedlike in their abilitiy to spread.
Have a great weekend

Haha. I can’t claim the first one completely. My husband helped with that. He’s a weird one.
