Life, Love, Laughter

by JM

desk1.jpgHappy Tuesday!

Yes, I’m excited that it’s Tuesday because if it’s Tuesday, then tomorrow is Wednesday the 16th which also happens to be my husband’s birthday.

I love getting my husband presents.

As you know, this week’s theme is laughter. I know, it may seem like a bit of an odd theme, but I assure you it’s not.

Today I would like you to write about laughter (obviously). No idea what to write? Ask yourself a few of these questions to get you started:

What makes you laugh? Do you laugh easily? When is the last time you had a good, full belly laugh? Do you like the sound of your laugh? Are you good at making people laugh?

If you’re still unsure, read my response to the prompt…

The last time I had a long, full, belly laugh was the other night, actually. My husband and I were in bed, settling down to sleep. We talked a little about this and that. Not much in particular.

I can’t remember what we were talking about, but he made a smart comment about my (lack of a) short term memory. I asked, “Short term what?”

I giggled a bit and he growled a bit. He then, doing an impression of a comedy sketch we both love, said, “I kill you.”

We laughed a bit and he grumbled, “At least you wouldn’t remember it.”

As innocently as I could, I asked, “Remember what?”

We laughed so, so hard. It was great.

See? It’s not too hard to write about.

I know it’s pathetic of me, but this one never fails to make me crack up.

Then again, so does most of what I write, for one reason or another. I’m easily amused.

Haha! That one cracked me up, too, so I don’t think you’re that easily amused.
