Musical Monday Getting Back to It
Hello and welcome back to your regular scheduling of Write Anyway.
November was an interesting month of daily prompts and writing events, but I am definitely glad it’s over for another year. I’m going to go back to doing one theme a week for now until I get more survey results in to see if anyone would like to see some changes happen here. I rather like theme weeks anyway, so it works for me.
Today the theme is getting back to it. ‘It’ being your life, your job, yourself even, after having a major stress, major loss, major whatever. In any one moment, you could be coming back out of any number of things. At the moment, I’m coming out of NaBloPoMo, NaNoWriMo, a health issue, another health issue… Everyone has so much going with their lives; I’m sure you’ll think of something.
I know this is a bit of a broad topic area, but we all have these moments when we come out of something and need to get back into the swing of things.
Here to inspire your getting back to it writings are a few videos. They are just a few I picked randomly, so you’ll get a little bit of everything. Enjoy.
Except for Monday – Lorrie Morgan
(I listened to this song a lot when I was younger. It was one of my favourites because it described my apathy towards pretty much every day of the week. Haha.)
When It All Falls Apart – The Veronicas
(I recently started to listen to this song and I like it a lot. I like the singsong quality to it.)
Tears Dry On Their Own – Amy Winehouse
(I originally didn’t like Amy Winehouse, but her songs – especially this one – have been growing on me a bit.)
