Musical Monday - Michael Buble
Is it Monday already? Crazy, I tells ya…
Unlike most weeks, I am well and truly ready for this week. I have already been working hard so I can get ahead and spend more of my time on other things that are important to me. (Like getting that novel done… Hm. *cough*)
Today it is my supreme pleasure to introduce you to another one of my favourites. Frankly, I’m surprised I haven’t mentioned him earlier. I’ve been listening to his music for a while now. His music was even on my mp3 player when I flew to Australia. Especially his song ‘Home’ which often consoled me when I was still in the States and wanting so desperately to be in Australia.
So who is he? Why, Michael Buble, of course!
From his official website:
“Ask Michael Bublé how he felt going in to record his third studio album, Call Me Irresponsible, and this artist with 11 million albums sold and two Grammy nominations under his belt can sum it up in one word.
“Terrified,” he says simply. Terrified?
“Completely, because I knew that it had to be better than the first two — that it had to show growth without alienating anyone, and that’s a tough line. So I sat there from the very beginning and came up with the songs, put together the skeleton, and thought about what arrangers I would hire. I even ended up at the mastering session, which artists rarely attend. I wanted to be involved in every aspect because I wanted it to be conceptually beautiful.””
Enjoy…

Like I said, there are a lot more songs out there, so do some hunting! I hope you find this music inspirational.
If you have any suggestions for singers or bands you’d like to see featured, let me know in the comments. I won’t promise to put all selections up, but I do promise to take a look.
Take care.
