Musical Monday…Write
Happy Musical Monday everyone.
I’m making an effort to make this week an interesting one instead of a dreary, here we go it’s another week type of week. Have a drink to my efforts, hm?
This week I’m focusing on the obvious. That is – the theme for this week is: Writing
Why should I focus on something so obvious that this site is centered around? Well, because for a lot of people, writing is more than just the act of writing. For some it’s therapy. For others it’s work. For many others, it’s an experience that is rivaled by no other.
Writing, for me, is the way I relate to the world. I communicate best through written word (just ask anyone who tries to talk to me on the phone) and I take pride in what I write. I’ll take a penpal over a phone pal any day. I am completely in love with the tools of the trade (office supplies) and getting me a cool pen will trump pretty jewelry any day.
So yes, we’re writing about writing this week. To get you in the mood for your journey, I have selected a few songs I hope you will enjoy.
Don’t Write Me Off – Music and Lyrics (I actually found this song while I was looking for a different song, and for a song from a ripped off movie, it’s actually not that bad.)
I Write the Songs – Barry Manilow (Yes, I’ll admit it – I like Barry Manilow. So there.)
Paperback Writer – The Beatles

Now I don’t feel so weird in the world. I too have a love (some would call it a fetish but that conjures up meanings I don’t want to think of) of pens and all office supplies. And is it just me or does paper smell fabulous? (Ok that may have been a little TMI LOL!)
For me writing is work, therapy and love all in one.

I love office supplies and have an assortment of weird and interesting pens and papers.
