Musical Money Monday
Hello and welcome to Monday January 7th.
The Monday after New Year’s is always interesting. It’s on Monday that reality hits. It’s on Monday you go back to your first full week of work for the year. (Some of you anyway.) It’s on Monday that you remember what resolutions you made and are put to the test of keeping them.
I am more than happy to report that I maintained what I said I’d do and got up early to go to the gym.
With the state of the world economy these days, it’s no surprise that a lot of people’s resolutions have to do with money. Whether you want to get out of debt or save for that fabulous vacation, money is often on the minds of much of us.
What better a subject to be easy to write about?
Here for your musical pleasure are Pink Floyd’s Money and Joel Grey with Liza Minnelli’s Money. I think these two songs pretty much cover the subject – especially the latter.
Have a lovely day, all, and may the music inspire you to put pen to paper/fingers to keyboard. I am off to work on my own writing projects…
Pink Floyd’s Money
A funny thing about this song – my husband likes Pink Floyd and figured out how to get this song as his ring tone.
Yes, every time someone calls him, I hear a cash register ‘ding!’ Lovely, no?
And I can’t talk about money without putting up Money with Liza Minnelli.
