This week’s Thursday Thirteen prompts are going to continue on with prompts, questions, first lines, and other inspiration to help you get writing.

Thirteen Random Prompts

1. “Don’t let the chance just go by. Act on it. Take advantage of the moment.”
2. You walk into the front door of your house, just like you have done millions of times before, but once you step inside, it’s not your house anymore…
3. You have to give up one of your family members. Anyone who shares your blood can go, but someone has to go. Why? Who will you choose? How will you choose?
4. What is your biggest fear? Why? Do you know what caused the fear? What about it is so scary?
5. You suddenly find yourself without one of your senses. What sense is it and what do you do?
6. You have a premonition that a massive force of nature is going to destroy everything you know. What do you do now?
7. “You have to say it. You have to tell. If you don’t…”
8. You’re walking home alone one night and find yourself walking faster and faster because you can feel something following you. And it’s getting closer…
9. Your friend has just told you about his/her plan to start taking control of things and gaining power. You don’t exactly agree, but what can you do?
10. You go to a masked ball and have an excellent time dancing, laughing, and talking with someone you think you recognize but aren’t sure. Midnight, the time when everyone unmasks, is approaching…
11. “Well, it’s not like we’re going anywhere soon. We’re going to be stuck here for a while. So ask me anything you want.”
12. Write song lyrics or a poem about one of the most important events in your life.
13. What’s your favourite song? Why? What does it make you feel?
