Thirteen Writing Prompts

Hello and happy Thursday Thirteen, all. As per usual, I will be giving you a list of thirteen prompts in all shapes and sizes. They could be a first line of dialogue, a plot idea, or something else. I hope you enjoy and pick and choose as you please.
If there are any other types of prompts that you would find useful, let me know anytime.
Have a great day.
1. If you tend to write in one genre - humor, crime, fantasy, romance - try combining your usual genre with a genre you’ve never written in before. You never know what you might get.
2. “I guess you could call me the queen of misfortune.”
3. Think of a time in your life when you felt like no one understood you.
4. A gun goes off at a crowded party.
5. “We’re not just a family company, we’re a whole world company.”
6. You get the news that if you don’t make some changes in your life, you are going to die…
7. “You’re right; I should be happy. But I’m not.”
8. Write a story based on something you hear/see/read in the news.
9. “I’m sorry I can’t be happy about your sister marrying my father.”
10. You are involved in a terrible accident and lose one of your five senses.
11. You can have everything you ever wanted in life, but someone you love has to die for it…
12. Start writing a biography. Start with notes about important parts of your life and move on to filling in the gaps.
13. “What does that have to do with me?”
The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!
